Shipping within the United States

 We sell fabric and many other items. For non-fabric items, some can be freight intensive and some not. For some fragile products we use the UPS store to package and ship. It is our policy to not make a profit on shipping, and we only pass on the direct and actual cost.  Freight intensive items will be subject to extra shipping costs.

The chart below is an estimate of the postage that will be applied to fabric orders. Since these rates are based on fabric yardage, for sale fabrics, the original price of the fabric is used in this calculation. Orders for items other than fabric and orders that combine fabric and other items may be more or less depending on the size and weight of your order.

 We ship using both the USPS and UPS and may the decision based on giving you the best possible shipping rate for your order.

For any order less than $150, we will adjust the shipping manually to give you the best possible rate. For any order where the actual shipping is greater than 15% of the estimate, we will contact you to get your approval before finalizing your order.

 ORDERS TO CANADA – FABRIC ONLY:
 
 We ship Global Priority Mail flat rate envelopes or boxes. We can get approximately 2 yards of fabric (or 1 yards of flannel) in the flat rate envelope. Larger quantities will go into flat rate boxes. For orders greater than $150 USD, we waive the first $15 USD postal charges.

INSURANCE

Some freight carriers provide free insurance to a set limit (e.g. UPS is $100), and others may not. Since we lose control of your package once is it turned over to the shipping company, any claims will be between the buyer and the shipping company.

 If you wish to purchase insurance for your order, please make note of it in the notes area during checkout. We will then purchase insurance per your instructions to the value of the order and add that charge to your order.
