The Story of BERNINA

Friedrich Gegauf (1860-1926) settled in Seckborn, Switzerland in 886. His first mechanical workshop was in the building of a former nunnery, where he produced monogram embroidery units of his own creation. Friedrich's innovative thinking and attention to detail defined the BERNINA qualtiy that continues to this day under the direction of his great-grandson, Hanspeter Ueltschi.

For production, they make optimum use of the Steckborn and Thailand locations.
